Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Posted on 21/12/2011

It seems only 2 minutes since I was writing a similar 'end of year' note celebrating grading results and students of the year awards. This year has certainty flown and I have enjoyed every minute of the busy TKD calendar.

Yet again, it is has been nice to see Chesterfield TKD students achieve new grades (including Black Belts and Dan Grades), win medals in area and national competitions and become assistant instructors. I have felt extremely proud on so many occasions to be your instructor.

The December Grading results are as follows:

Elysia Dujon - 10th Kup Orange Stripe (Merit)
Christian Dujon - 9th Kup White Belt Yellow Stripe
William Owen - 8th Kup Yellow Belt
Lewis McMahon - 7th Kup Yellow Belt Green Stripe
Alex Dawson - 7th Kup Yellow Belt Green Stripe
Harry Helps - 5th Kup Green Belt Blue Stripe
Jamie Lenthall - 5th Kup Green Belt Blue Stripe
Stuart Rimmer - 5th Kup Green Belt Blue Stripe (Distinction)
Aidan Bailey - 2nd Kup Red Belt
Daniel Slater - 2nd Kup Red Belt
Jack Helps - 1st Kup Red Belt Black Stripe

Best of Grade was awarded to Stuart Rimmer whose dedication and hard work meant he achieved pass with Distinction.... again! Well done Sir!

2011 Awards

Trying to pick who should be awarded this years 'Student of the Year' and 'Tenet' awards proved an extremely difficult task. So many of Chesterfield TKD students were/are worthy of at least one of the awards. However, this years receivers are as follows:

Courtesy: Jamie Lenthall
Integrity: Daniel Slater
Perseverance: Thomas Bailey
Self Control: Chris Phillips
Indomitable Spirit: Tony Stubbins

Student of the Year: Matthew Boughey

Well done to all!!

So that brings me with one last thing to say. Merry Christmas to you all, enjoy the break and be ready to come back and work off the christmas cheer! Thankyou for all your support during 2011 and making Chesterfield Tae Kwon Do a pleasure to teach. I look forward to training with you all in 2012. The first training session of 2012 will be Wednesday 4th January (for both Little PUMA's and TKD students).
