PUMA Kids Camp

The camps are a fantastic opportunity to train with some friendly and enthusiastic people under the instruction of top quality instructors, including three masters! The camps are fun varied and challenging.

Some of the activities that take place are:

  • Traditional patterns
  • Kickboxing training
  • Beach training (fun, fitness and technical)
  • Weapons training, including Bo Staff, Nunchaku, Sticks and Knife drills
  • Self Defence, including FAST Defence
  • Grappling
  • Padwork
  • Free bar-b-que
  • The camps are open to all PUMA members and their families, not just students.

The PUMA Childrens Camp will be held this year from Friday the 13th August to Sunday 15th August. The camp is open to children between 8 and 12 years inclusive on the first day of camp.

Ask your instructor for the price per student. The price includes all meals.

There are usually about 100 children on the camp and around 25 helpers. Activities will include martial art training and team building games. There will also be lots of free time for them to play. Children who attend the camp have a great time and meet lots of new friends.

Helpers are experienced (usually instructors) and trained in the ethics of the P.U.M.A. child protection policy and have all attended a child protection course and have been CRB checked. There is a trained nurse on site and the P.U.M.A. safety officer and child protection officer also attend the camp.

If you wish your child to attend this camp you will need to provide transport for them to and from the camp. Instructors cannot provide transport. It would be helpful if you would also arrange a tent for your child or ensure that they are sharing with a child who is bringing a tent.

Application forms are now available for any students wishing to attend the Kids Camp. Please ask in class for more details.
