ICTF Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June

A big well done to all PUMA members who competed in the Intercontinental Championships! The event which was hosted by PUMA was a really big success and attended by many international competitors.

The ‘Fight Night’ that was held on the Saturday evening was well supported and boasted a fantastic atmosphere. The evening ‘kicked off’ a superb demonstration form PUMAs Flowering Youth Demonstration Team, followed by introduction of Senior Officials/Master from visiting Countries.

PUMA English Championships 2010

The PUMA English Championships were held in Swindon on Sunday 6th June. Well done to Thomas and Aidan Bailey who represented Chesterfield Club. Both competed in the true spirit of Tae Kwon Do and did themselves proud.
Little PUMAs enjoy Easter Fun!

Chesterfield Little PUMAs combined a little Tae Kwon Do with lots of Easter games to win chocolate eggs. A Treasure Hunt, Egg and Spoon race and colour the Easter Egg competition were all well recieved by eager students. Well done LPs!

Tae Kwon-Do

Tae Kwon-Do is the scientific use of the body in the method of self defence. A body that has gained the ultimate use of it's facilities through physical and mental training. Tae Kwon-Do will improve your flexibility, strengthen your body, help channel agressions and reduce overall stress.

Where & When

Training usually takes place at Brookfield Community School, Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield on Mondays and Wednesdays.

History

General Choi Hong Hi Black Belt, 9th Degree 1918-2002

General Choi founded Tae Kwon-Do in 1955 and it is now the worlds most popular martial art.

Tae Kwon-Do literally means 'The way of the foot and fist'.
